Plein Air Painting Exhibition in Maryland



It is not every day that you see women painting on location from life but on November 17th 2002 in Chevy Chase at the Audubon Naturalist Society's Woodend Estate you will have your chance to see the results. Internationally known Plein air painter Deborah Chapin will be hosting a Traveling Exhibition/Sale of Plein Air Painting starting at the Audubon. Chapin (Who's Who in American Art) will be exhibiting works from her Gardens and Giverny collection. Backpacking a French easel through France, one of her favorite motifs has been the gardens and village of Giverny France. Having traveled in France for 8+ years Chapin's subjects include landscapes, figurative and floral works from the Seine River valley region know primarily for Giverny and Monet's Garden. Works also include the Ancient roses of the Baudy Rose Garden as well as Monet's garden, street scenes and landscapes. Meet Chapin and see her painting on the National Mall in DC and throughout Maryland all this fall.
